Algor Education tools

Maps

What are maps in Algor Education?

Maps are visual learning tools (mind maps and concept maps) that help you break down complex information into key ideas and their relationships. They’re generated by AI from your content to provide a clear, high-level overview, making it easier to understand, memorize, and explore connections between concepts.

How are Maps generated?

After uploading your content, Algor’s AI scans the material to extract the most important concepts and organizes them into a visual hierarchy. It identifies relationships, topics, and subtopics, then automatically structures them into a navigable mind map you can further refine.

Can I customize my Maps?

Yes, maps are fully editable. Within the Multimedia Editor, you can rename nodes, change their colors and layout, connect or disconnect ideas, and even add images or custom icons. You can also ask AI to add additional content (including images, videos, and audios) and nodes. This makes it easy to personalize your study experience based on your preferences or subject needs.

Can I export or print my Maps?

Definitely. Once you’re happy with your map, you can export it as a PDF, image (PNG/JPG), or printable format. You also get to choose between different print layouts before printing the map. This is useful for offline review, test prep, or sharing physical handouts with classmates or students.

Can I share my Maps with others?

Yes. You can generate a unique shareable link or invite others to collaborate on the same map. This is especially useful for group projects, tutoring sessions, or classroom environments.

Flashcards

What types of Flashcards can I create?

You can generate three main types of flashcards:

  • Fill in the Blank: Great for testing memory and active recall.
  • Concept & Definition: Perfect for reviewing key terms and vocabulary.
  • Question & Answer: Ideal for self-testing and spaced repetition.

These flashcards are created by AI from your input or exported for offline use.

Can I export my Flashcards?

Absolutely. Flashcards can be exported as PDFs, making it easy to print them or use them offline. This is especially helpful when preparing for tests without access to your device.

Can I share my Flashcards?

Quizzes

What types of quizzes can I create with Algor Education?

Algor Education supports three primary quiz formats:

  • True/false: Ideal for quick checks of factual knowledge.
  • Multiple choice: Great for exam-style practice with answer options.
  • Open-ended questions: Encourages deeper thinking and written recall.

These quizzes are designed to help reinforce your knowledge and simulate the kind of testing you may encounter in a real exam.

How are Quizzes generated?

When you upload your content, the AI analyzes it to identify main ideas, facts, and questions that can be formed from the material. It then automatically creates quiz questions based on these insights, which you can immediately use or modify. You also get to choose the type of questions you want in the quiz and the number of questions.

Can I export or print Quizzes?

Yes, you can export quizzes as PDFs, which are perfect for paper-based tests or worksheets. This feature is especially useful for learning content creators creating assessment tests. You can either export a PDF with questions only, or the entire report, that also includes your answers and whether they are right or wrong. You can also share URLs of quizzes with others to take them.

Can I share my quiz?

Algor Templates

General

What are Algor Templates?

Algor Templates are customizable learning models that use AI to turn your content into structured and visual learning guides. Each Template includes a specific combination of tools such as mind maps, notes, tables, flashcards, quizzes, and summaries. These tools work together, and you can either use pre-made Templates or prompt the tools you prefer individually to create a personalized learning experience that fits your subject and goals.

Templates for users

How do Templates help me as a user?

Templates help you learn faster and more effectively by turning your content into structured, personalized learning tools in just a few clicks. Instead of building everything from scratch, you can choose a premade AI-powered Template based on your learning goal: whether it’s summarizing, solving, reviewing, or testing your knowledge.

What is the Algor Card?

The Algor Card is the platform’s standard template. It’s an all-in-one solution that instantly generates a map, summary, flashcard, Q/A, and a quiz from your uploaded content. It’s designed for speed and ease of use. Just upload your material, and Algor delivers a complete learning  path in seconds made of several structured and organized Cards, depending on the length of your input text.

What’s the difference between the Algor Card and other Templates?

  • Algor Card: A general-purpose, fast-processing template for all subjects.
  • Other Templates: More specialized, crafted to suit different formats, disciplines, or learning objectives (e.g., exercise solvers, worksheet generators, and essay graders).

How do I use a Template as a user?

  1. Start by choosing your desired Template (e.g., Algor Card or a subject-specific option)
  2. Upload your content (text, file, image, etc.)
  3. The AI will generate tailored outputs based on that Template, and you’ll receive a custom Card containing the relevant study tools.

Templates for creators

Can I create my own custom Template?

Yes! You can create your own Templates to guide the AI according to specific needs. This allows you to develop smart models that reflect your learning or teaching style or help others with targeted materials.

How do I create a Template?

To create a Template in Algor, start by selecting the AI-powered tools you want to include to build the structure of your learning model. These tools include maps, flashcards, quizzes,. Then, customize each tool with specific prompts that tell the AI how to process and format the content. Once your Template is set up, you can save it for repeated use with different inputs or share it with others for wider access. This allows you to create consistent, personalized learning experiences tailored to your goals or audience.

How do I prompt a tool within a Template?

When creating a Template, you can customize each tool by writing a prompt that tells the AI exactly how to process and format the content. For example, in a Map, you can specify how many branches it should have and what each branch should focus on. In a Text Box, you can ask the AI to include tables, structure the content into specific paragraphs, or highlight key concepts. For Flashcards, you might tell the AI to focus on definitions, use a specific format like fill-in-the-blank or Q&A, and generate a set number of cards. In a Quiz, you can request a mix of question types, like three multiple-choice questions and two open-ended ones, based on the most important topics. Once your Template is set up and activated, you can reuse it anytime with new content. This allows you to consistently generate high-quality, personalized materials across different subjects or learning needs.

Can I share my custom Template with others?

Yes. Creators can share Templates via unique links or make them publicly available within the Algor library.

Creation flow

How does the creation process work in Algor?

Is there a free plan? What are the limits?

Yes! Algor offers a free plan that allows you to explore the main features before upgrading to a paid plan. With the free plan, you can:

  • Use up to 30 credits one-shot to create a maximum of two AI-powered Cards
  • Process content up to 15,000 characters per upload

It's a great way to try Templates and the creation of mind maps, flashcards, quizzes, and summaries using your own content.

What do paid plans include?

Paid plans unlock unlimited or extended access to tools, credits, and advanced features. They allow you to generate more materials, process longer content, use ready-made Templates or create your own ones without limitations. Plans are designed to support individual learners, creators, and educators who want to go beyond the basics.

How do plan timing, renewal, and cancellation work?

Subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis, depending on your selection. Plans renew automatically, but you can cancel anytime from your account settings. After cancellation, your current plan remains active until the end of the billing cycle.

What are credits and how do they work?

Credits are used each time you create a new study material from content you upload. Each AI generation (map, flashcard set, quiz, etc.) may use a certain number of credits depending on content size and complexity. The more you generate, the more credits you’ll need and paid plans come with higher credit limits.

Is there a character limit per upload?

Yes, each content upload has a character limit based on your plan. This limit helps ensure quality processing and balanced resource use. Paid users enjoy much higher character limits compared to free users.
